Review Kalafina’s Single: into the world/Marchen

Assalamualaikum... Konnichiwa..!!

Hello, I’m back to post review about Kalafina’s single titled Marchen. This single was released on last April. This single consists of four tracks, 3 full songs and 1 instrument and 2 songs in this single have music video. I just review about the full songs and the music video, not the instrument. Let’s check this out.

Into the world
This is the first track. This song is used as theme song of a TV series titled Rekishi Hiwa Historia. As far as I know, this TV series often use Kalafina’s songs and Yuki Kajiura’s work as their theme song. This song is beautiful and sounds so peaceful. For the vocal harmonization, yeah, still as beautiful as before. When I listened to this song, somehow I think that this song is little bit similar with Kimi no Gin no Niwa, and get the same feeling as I listened to Yume no Daichi. I also like the music video. The MV is opened with the view of a beach and the Kalafina sing at the beach and then the video moved the setting into a house. In the house scene, the MV looks so classic and beautiful. Kalafina also look so elegant, especially Wakana, she really looks like a noble lady. I love the dress they wear, but I don’t like the blazer, they look better without the blazer, it makes them look like old business women.. hahahaha.. :D

Marchen
The second track. This song is my favorite in this single. This song is also used as ending theme for anime OVA Zaregoto series titled Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai. This OVA has 8 episodes but episode 7 and 8 are delayed, and Yuki Kajiura also do the background music for this anime. I think this song is unique, sounds like the combination between ethnic, classic, and rock. This song has the gothic and dark feeling, maybe because the story of  Zaregoto anime is dark too. I like the flute sound, and it mix very well with the electric guitar that makes this songs sounds dark. It feels like I’m in the dark fairytale when I listened to it, well Marchen means fairytale in German. I love Hikaru’s vocal in this song, yeah, her vocal is suitable very well for songs in rock tune, dark type, and fast paced. The music video is also in the dark nuance, Kalafina sing in the dark, empty, and abandoned buliding. hahahahaha.. The video looks creepy but beautiful too, well the dolls and candles makes the video look creepy. :D

itu Wakana yak, bukan setan.. wkwkwkwk.. *geplaked*

anime Zaregoto.

Haru wo Matsu
The third track. This song is ballad song. For the vocal, rather than for group, I prefer call this song as individual song because there is no vocal harmonization. Kalafina just sing their own part one by one. For me, this song makes me feel so sleepy when I listened to it, hahahaha.. so I usually listen to this song when I get insomnia.. hahahaha.. XD.

Ok. That’s all my review about Kalafina’s single this time. Overall, this single is recommended for you who like songs with unique style and beautiful harmony. Sorry for bad language and grammar error. Thank you and see you next post. ^_^
